I always thought the big advantage was seeing a bazillion frames per second, but someone tells me that it's simply more lines of resolution.
I'm so confused, the explanation of what hd is between the sony sales rep and the panasonic sales rep seems like polar opposites.
I have realized that most hd camcorders can fps at 60, but then I've heard of some being 240fps? I'm so confused....

Some HD cameras can be over-cranked, but HD TV's will only show up to 60 fps. The higher framerates are used for slow-motion.
